Housing Horror!

Just when we thought that our housing nightmare has officially ended, we got a call from the nasty ex agent that our previous apartment needs to be repainted because all the walls are stained with a yellow substance!

We were shocked beyond words. No way are we gonna pay up! Not after we spent couple of hundreds to get a professional cleaner to clean up the entire apartment before moving out! So we asked to reinspect the apartment, only to realise that everything was in a mess! Given that the irritating landlord has a history of pulling stunts (she wanted to sell off the apartment on the day we were supposed to collect our keys but decided against it when she realised how much $ she had to fork out for compensation), we suspected that she wanted to take us for a ride to furnish her house before she put it up for sale. To think she is also an asian, bullying her fellow country men in a foreign land. PUI!

So we told the agent that we are not going to pay, only to be threatened on the phone that court is the final resort to our woes. She thought we are country bumpkins who would flee at the mention of law. Imagine her shock when we defiantly told her court it shall be!

It was really a coincidence that both Hot Babe and I managed to get time off work to attend the hearing. Nerve wrecking experience it was! And I realised I am not cut out to be a lawyer, for the very fact that I tried to interrupt the judge several times during the hearing and was told to be patient. Haha.

But all ended well! We WON the case on the grounds that the judge was not convinced that damage was beyond normal wear and tear! Ha, everyone should be given a chance to see the pathetic loser look on the bloody agent's face! PRICELESS, I tell you!

Looking back, it seems like we really experienced everything there is to experience during our short time in wallaby land! Haha, but what can I say, VICTORY IS SWEET!!!! ;)
