Aussie Road Trip - Day 8 & 9 (Mornington Peninsula)

This is da weekend where we live the high life! Mr Low, who has never experienced living a socialite's life has finally had the opportunity to do so this weekend! Su-Li has planned this long ago and it just so coincided with the time that Mr Low is here! Hee, can finally let him into a snapshot of the feasts I always have, though I have my reservations that he will truly enjoy them. He's the typical kind of hawker boy, cheap to maintain. Haha.

Red Hill Market
So off we went on our 1st stop, the Red Hill Market! Basically, it is a pasar malam with lots of food, arts & craft stuff and other cool stuff. It happens only once a month. So off we went walking around, checking out the gorgeous cupcakes, food, paintings, etc. No pictures cause we were simply too busy walking around! ;p

Red Hill Brewery
Next up was to check out the beers at Red Hill Brewery. Being a beer drinker, I have eyed this brewery for the longest time upon hearing rave reviews about it. Since we are around the region, we decided to check it out!

Beer on the tap! Haha here we come!

Variety is da way to go! ;)

Ivana (Joey's vet friend from Canberra), Joey and I immersing in the wonderful joys of booze, with Chee Kheong gazing at the back, hoping to be spotted! Tsk tsk.

Yihua and Mr Low refraining from the influence of alcohol to prevent making a fool of themselves. Haha.

Max Restaurant
Next up was lunch at Max Restaurant. Apparently, Max has won lots of awards for his wonderful culinary skills along with super duper good ingredients he uses.

Hee, I ordered steak! What's new, I just love my meat! ;) Food was so-so but servings are huge! So it's pretty much value for $ more than anything else.

Dessert for lunch - handmade ice cream. Not bad, but not my favourite though.

Unknown Restaurant
After a heavy breakfast, impromptu beer session, along with a sumptuous lunch, we still had to have dinner! Ha, no trip with Chee Kheong and Su Li is without high life food. They really are living it up man! Being the poor secondees we are, we only join them occassionally when we feel like we deserve a good treat. Tsk tsk.

With intestines the size of Starburst's snakes (jelly lolly), we decided to share our dinner. 2 persons to 1 servings.

If I recall correctly, I got the lamb. Not bad at all.

Can't recall who got this, by then, I was already seeing circles, with all that food running around my tummy.

A picture of us looking bloated even BEFORE feasting.

Some yucky cheesy entree. Looks like newborn's poo eh? Tsk tsk.

Rabbit for Su Li! Looks like bone marrow eh...Keke, but it was awesome, apparently.

As if it wasn't enough, we still had to have DESSERT. Oh man....

After feeding ourselves silly, we went back to our motor inn for some fun filled entertainment of Bonanza (bean trading card game I bought Mr Low). It was hilarious. Chee Kheong, who refused to participate in the game, watched along as we verbally abused each other repeatedly. Soon, when everyone was ready to smash each other's face, we decided to call it a night.

Tomorrow's itinery is going to be a food packed one as well! My tummy screams!!!

Montalto
Rise and shine! It was another day of food adventure! With stomachs growling, we headed to Montalto, the well known winery for its famously acclaimed food.

Just look at its credentials and you know this is not a place to miss out on!

Of course, before the feasting begins, Kodak moments must be captured to illustrate the joyful event!

Housemates of the year!

Hot babe trying to get me to replay Titanic. But no way am I going to jump if she jumps! Keke...

Some wine tasting to get ourselves in the mood for some party!

The action bedek owner trying to give us a crash course on his quality wines. Haha, they are all the same, I say. AWFUL!

Ohhh, olive oil! Sprinkle some vinegar in it as a dip for bread. Marvellous!

Now, now, finally, the food fest begins! This raw looking beef dish is ordered by Hot babe! Apparently, upon coming to Wallaby Land, she has turned to the DARK side by eating beef! Haha, so much for being religious eh?

Fish is Mr Low's dish. He thinks he can become more intelligent upon eating more fish. Alas, all is too late, for his puberty is over!

Sorrento Vanilla Slice
As if we have not have had enough food, we heard Sorrento, which is just nearby, is famous for its vanilla slice. So what do we do? We just got to go there and EAT it! YES! HAHAHA!

Look at that satisfied and greedy look on Hot Babe's face and you know if she is one who lives to eat or eats to live!

Tadah! The famous vanilla slice! Hmm, but i think it's not fantastic...Overhype I tell you.

Finally, after a weekend of feasting, a photo of us to end off the wonderful weekend of high life living. Stumbled upon this picture while copying the pics from Hot Babe's camera. No idea this picture was taken! But it was a pleasant surprise :)

But with all happy moments comes an end. The time has come for Mr Low to go home. If only I can keep him with me all the time like my soft toy. Haha. Oh well, we can't have it all in life! ;p
