Wedding Song to a Friend

2 weeks ago, my colleague was wedded to her boyfren. I wasn't able to attend their wedding as my convocation ceremony fell on the same day so I wrote them a poem.

As you embark on this journey,
As you set up a new family:

May your days be filled with joy,
May you find pleasure in all your toil.

May you walk bilithely through life's valleys,
May your doves fly ever free.

May you treasure life's precious moments,
Made ever more beautiful,
by vows between man and woman.
