Yu U
After so much hype on how great this dodgy jap restaurant is, Yishan and I finally decided to try its lunch special it out since we were both in the city! Reservation has to be made if you want no disappointment. A couple of weeks back, Darren, Yishan and I went there with no reservations, thinking we will get lucky if we reach early for lunch. Turned out the place was fully booked and we had to give it a miss!

Apparently, the chef in Yu U is very passionate about his food. His menu constantly changes. For a fixed price of A$15 for its set lunch menu, it seems like we ain't getting value for money huh. All are cheap ingredients! :(

So finally, here it is! Turned out 1 set should be enough for 2 girls! The potato & beef croquette was awesome. Mind you, a whole bowl of rice sat under the brown potato. How can 1 person possibly finish it?

1 look at her happy face and you know she wiped out her entire set! I was left struggling with the meal, hence no pictures were taken. Ended up I only finished half a bowl of rice and noodles. Not worth it for me! :'(

Verdict: Yu U is over rated for its food quality. Ambience though nice, does not substantiate the hefty price for its economical ingredients.

Rating: 3/5
